PSV coach Bosz admits Dest returning to Barcelona

PSV coach Peter Bosz says they won't be taking up the permanent option for Barcelona loanee Sergino Dest.

The fullback has suffered a late season knee injury which has seen PSV pull back from triggering the option.

Bosz said: "We will not activate the purchase option clause. I still hope he stays. Not activating that option does not mean that that possibility is gone."

Eindhovens Dagblad says PSV chiefs are considering sitting down with Barca again in January next year, when the defender is expected to have fully recovered from his ACL injury.

Dest ends his contract with Barcelona in the summer of 2025.
