NHL bets: Two plus-money point props for two big games tonight

We regained some footing in the NHL prop market yesterday, going 2-0 on our picks, which is once again way better than the alternative. We have a pair of Game 6s tonight on the ice, and I think both home teams can find a few goals.

Off that belief, I've loaded up the gentlemen I see as most likely to get in on the fun.

Gustav Nyquist & Roman Josi 1+ point each (+137 FanDuel)

Nashville has arguably been the better team this series despite facing a 3-2 series deficit. There have just been these very short scoring outbursts from Vancouver that have tilted the tide, but this series is far from over.

The Predators lost both home games this series, but they out-shot the Canucks 60-33 in those two games. I do think Nashville can win this game, and breaking news, but to do so: they have to score goals.

When I examine which lines have been most productive for the Preds, it just keeps coming back to their top line.

In their two home games, the top line led the team in shots on goal and high-danger chances, and their expected goals was just a shade behind their second line.

I'm following that and pairing a few guys from that top group to get involved in some scoring, and I've settled on Nyquist and defenseman Josi.

Nyquist has points in four of five games this series, and Josi has three points. Both have gotten on the score-sheet in two straight games, and I also like their shared involvement on the power play.

At home this season, Nyquist has a point in 71% of games, and Josi has one in 69%.

Tomas Hertl point (+105 DraftKings)

I think Dallas is going to win tonight and complete the 0-2 comeback, but do also believe we see a few goals on both ends.

Tomas Hertl is a guy who is just incredibly due to score a goal. He netted a power play goal in Game 1 but has been absent beyond that.

However, he has had just a boatload of chances thanks to his net-side role in this offense. Hertl tops Vegas in even-strength high-danger chances (7) and expected goals (1.67), and yet, he has no goals to show for it.

To be safe, I'm opting for his point, which looks even better now that he's skating on the Golden Knights top line with Jack Eichel and Jonathan Marchessault. I'm expecting Vegas to get pucks on net and scrap in front of Jake Oettinger and hope the puck squeezes through, and just a script fits Hertl's game right now.
